became a New York Times Notable Book and was named one of the best adult novels for young adults by The Library Journal.

In 1993, REPLACING DAD
won an award from Friends of American Writers in Chicago and became a CBS movie, March, 1999.
Both of these books are appropriate for use in high schools and deal with a family adjusting to divorce.

THE TURNING HOUR is based on a true story of a high school senior recovering from a suicide attempt. The project was honored with the Florida Governor's Award in 2006 as the most innovative suicide prevention tool in an educational setting.




This book includes a fold-out poster and an 8-page photo insert with never-before-seen photos.

Portions of this book's proceeds are being donated to the Belmont Child Care Fund and the Riding Camp at the Kennett Square YMCA.
